Dandara

Installed in Tribeca Park Nyc in partnership with NYC Parks and Taglialatella Galleries, The sculpture “Dream Machine: Dandara” is named after a trans woman killed by violence, who along with many in the LGBTQ community, dreamed to be treated with dignity and respect.
Every sculpture from my “Dream Machine Series” carries the name someone (famous or anonymous) who lived and/or died fighting for their dreams or for the dreams of others.
The odds are often stacked against us dreamers and only courage and determination, can free us to create, reinvent and express our inner self.
